Norway Travel Tips

  • You’ll want an international phone plan to get around. An eSIM is an easy and affordable way to use your phone while traveling abroad.
  • The vast majority of places in Norway take credit cards as payment.
  • Tipping is not necessary in Norway. But if you receive exceptional service, you may want to tip 5-10%.
  • Norway is an expensive country to travel around. Be sure to budget accordingly.
  • If you visit in the winter, make sure to pack plenty of layers and warm clothing. It can get very cold.
  • Norwegian and Sami are the two offical languages in Norway. It helps to know some basic Norwegian, but most people know English as well.
