Mexico Travel Guides

From white sand beaches, to the largest city in North America, to clear-blue cenotes, Mexico has so much to offer.

There are so many places to take a vacation in Mexico, but most visitors tend to stick to all-inclusives. There’s nothing wrong with that, but personally, I much prefer to explore nature and culture when traveling abroad.

Just a few beautiful places to visit across Mexico include Oaxaca, the Baja Peninsula and Puerto Vallarta. Plus, you can find incredible cuisine in cities and cultural centers such as Mexico City and Oaxaca City.

Read my guides to Mexico City and Oaxaca to plan a Mexico trip that goes beyond the beaches.

Mexico Travel Tips and Resources

Heading to Mexico soon? Here are some resources to help you plan!

  • You’ll want an international phone plan to use during your trip. An eSIM is an easy and affordable way to use your phone while traveling abroad.

  • While many locals (especially in the areas frequented by tourists) speak English, it helps a lot to know some basic Spanish while traveling around Mexico.

  • It's usually customary to tip between 10-20% at restaurants in Mexico.
