Massachusetts Travel Guides

Massachusetts is a state known for its Revolutionary War history, the large city of Boston and for having both the coast and mountains out west. It has one of the highest concentration of colleges in the country and was the first state to legally recognize same-sex marriage.

It’s worth spending time in Boston, which is the largest city in New England. It’s a very historic city with a lot to do. But don’t miss the other famous areas of Massachusetts, such as Salem, Cape Cod and The Berkshires region.

I spent a month based in Boston and loved exploring the area. Read below to see my Massachusetts travel guides.

Massachusetts Travel Resources

Heading to Massachusetts soon? Here are some tips and resources to help you plan!

  • The driving and roads in Boston are tough to navigate and Boston has a reputation of bad drivers. If you're staying in Boston, I recommend utilizing the public transportation. But if you're leaving the city, you'll want to have a rental car.
  • Compare rental car prices from Boston on Discover Cars
  • If you're hiking in Massachusetts, I recommend the All Trails Plus Membership! This will allow you to download offline maps and take advantage of other features that will help keep you safe.
